Ferdia has recorded significant growth in the UK during 2025, building on its formal market entry at Euro Bus Expo 2024 and signalling a long-term commitment to supporting coach operators modernise their coach businesses through digital transformation.
Following its UK launch and early visibility at Eurobus in 2024, Ferdia has seen rapid adoption of its cloud-based coach management platform, with customer numbers, fleet coverage and operator network all increasing sharply across the UK during 2025.
The growth reflects a broader shift among UK coach operators towards smarter, more connected ways of working as businesses respond to rising operating costs, capacity pressures and increasing customer expectations.
Ferdia’s platform is designed to help operators work more efficiently across booking, pricing, planning and operations. We also work strategically to build integrations with systems operators already rely on — creating a more seamless day-to-day workflow and avoiding the limitations of closed, standalone solutions.
Strong UK uptake during 2025
During 2025, Ferdia has added a growing number of UK coach operators to its platform, including: Centurion Travel, Country Lion, Hearns Coaches, Wattsway Travel, Southgate and Finchley Coaches, Walters Coaches and more operators currently onboarding
Across the UK market, Ferdia has recorded triple-digit percentage growth in both customer numbers and managed vehicles year-on-year, underlining the pace at which UK operators are engaging with digital tools that support profitability and operational resilience.
Supporting a vital UK industry
Coach travel plays a critical role in the UK economy and transport system, from tourism and major events to school transport and rail replacement. While the sector faces increasing complexity, many operators are still reliant on legacy systems that were not designed for today’s commercial and operational realities.
Ferdia’s approach focuses on helping operators unlock value from their existing fleets and networks through better data, collaboration and smarter utilisation — not simply replacing one system with another.
“We came into the UK with a clear goal: to help coach operators run more efficient, resilient businesses through smarter ways of working,” says Håkon Sæther, CEO of Ferdia.
“We work alongside operators as a partner — listening, educating and co-creating solutions that make a real difference. The growth we’ve seen in the UK during 2025 shows that operators are ready to lead, not just keep up.”
Local leadership and long-term commitment
Ferdia strengthened its UK presence last year with the appointment of Daniel Morton as UK Country Manager, bringing local industry experience and a dedicated on-the-ground focus to UK operators.
“UK operators know they need to modernise, but they also want partners who understand how coach businesses actually work,” says Daniel Morton.
“What we’re seeing is a shift away from short-term fixes and towards platforms that genuinely improve efficiency, margins and customer experience. Ferdia is here to help operators turn rising costs into better utilisation, stronger partnerships and more resilient businesses.”
Daniel adds that Ferdia’s focus for 2026 will be to deepen relationships with existing UK partners while continuing to grow its network through industry engagement, events and collaboration with trade bodies.
Looking ahead
Following a strong 2025, Ferdia says it will continue investing in the UK market throughout 2026, supporting coach operators as they adapt to changing commercial conditions and increasing digital expectations amongst customers.
“The UK coach sector has enormous potential,” concludes Sæther.
“By combining technology, industry insight and a network-based approach, we believe operators can not only protect margins, but also create new opportunities for growth. The progress we’ve made in 2025 is just the beginning.”
